Government Data Request Policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026

This policy describes how Sawir Studio LLC ("SawirPost", "we") responds when a government agency, court, law-enforcement body or other public authority asks us for information about a SawirPost user. It applies to every request, from any country, regardless of how it reaches us.

1. What we hold

We keep only what the Service needs: account details (name, email, hashed password or social-login identifiers), the organizations a user belongs to, connected-channel identifiers and encrypted platform tokens, the posts and media a user schedules, the engagement metrics platforms report back, billing records held by Stripe, and server logs retained for a limited period. We do not hold platform passwords, and we do not hold message content from connected platforms beyond what the user scheduled through SawirPost. Our Privacy Policy lists these categories in full.

2. Valid legal process is required

We disclose user data to a public authority only in response to valid legal process that is binding on Sawir Studio LLC — such as a subpoena, court order or search warrant issued by a court of competent jurisdiction — or where disclosure is necessary to prevent imminent harm to a person. Informal requests, requests by email without legal process, and requests from authorities that lack jurisdiction over us are declined and the requester is directed to formal channels (for example a mutual legal assistance treaty request).

3. Legal review of every request

Every request is reviewed before any data is produced. We confirm that the request is authentic, issued by an authority entitled to make it, legally valid in form and scope, and that complying is lawful for us. Where a request is overbroad, vague, or seeks data outside the requesting authority's jurisdiction, we ask the requester to narrow or withdraw it.

4. Challenging unlawful or overbroad requests

If, after review, we believe a request is unlawful, unconstitutional, overbroad, or not properly issued, we will challenge it through the available legal means, including seeking clarification, objecting formally, or asking a court to quash or narrow it, before producing any data.

5. Data minimization

When we do respond, we produce the minimum information necessary to satisfy the specific legal demand and nothing more. We do not produce data about users who are not named in the request, do not produce categories of data the request does not cover, and do not grant authorities direct or ongoing access to our systems.

6. Notifying users

We notify the affected user before disclosing their data, giving them the opportunity to respond, unless we are legally prohibited from doing so, the request concerns an emergency involving risk of death or serious injury, or notification would clearly be counterproductive (for example, where the account is being used for the abuse in question). Where a prohibition on notice is temporary, we notify the user once it lapses.

7. Documentation

We keep a record of every request we receive: the requesting authority, the date, the legal basis cited, the data sought, our legal assessment, any objection or challenge we made, what (if anything) was produced, and the people involved in the decision. These records are retained so that we can account for our handling of each request and report accurately on them.

8. Transparency

As of the date above, Sawir Studio LLC has never received a national-security request and has not disclosed any user's personal data to a public authority. If that changes, we will publish aggregate figures here at least once a year, to the extent the law allows.

9. How to contact us

Public authorities should send legal process to legal@sawirstudio.com or by mail to Sawir Studio LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. We do not accept service of process through the in-app support form. Users with questions about this policy can write to support@sawirpost.com.
